Pattern Highlights: February (part one)
Lately I've been posting on the blog pattern highlights from each month. February was such a busy month that I'm going to split knitting and crocheting into separate posts!
First up is an adorable hat from Sara Burch. It's titled Owl in the Thicket, and the matching cowl is equally exquisite. It's knit in Cricket, shown in Shiitake.
The quality we've come to expect from Pom Pom Quarterly certainly shows itself in this shawl from Hanna Maciejewska. Blommande is knit in Haiku, shown here in Emerald.
Technically, the Dalliance Shawl from Miriam Felton defies my knit/crochet split. A garter stitch body is bordered with an intricate crochet edging. This shawl is knit in Breeze, shown in Lenore and Emerald.
Ring of Kerry is Irish Girlie Knits' newest pattern in our yarns. Knit in Cole (shown in Petunia and Navy), this infinity scarf is knit flat and grafted.
A companion to this and this, bunnymuff has released a pattern for knitting a clock face titled a bee's experience of clovers, and of Noon! You construct the clock from foamcore and a clock mechanism. It's knit in Cricket, shown in Toffee and Storm.
The latest issue of Sockupied contains the delightful Karner Butterfly Socks from Jennifer Raymond. They are knit in Squishy, shown in Teal and Maple.
New from Kate Oates of Tot Toppers is this amazing heirloom sweater. Eliot is knit in For Better or Worsted and shown here in Seaside. This pattern is designed for an advanced knitter - it definitely looks like a labor of love!
FiberDreams has released the pattern for this light and lovely cardigan in Breeze. Shown here in Lenore, designer Laura Patterson has created a perfect summer layer in Isaura.
The February issue of I Like Knitting features two patterns knit in our yarns. Shown below are Angelia Robinson's Pear Trellis Poncho and Tabetha Hedrick's Classic Cozy Beanie. The poncho is knit in Haiku and the beanie is knit in Squishy.
Last, but not least, is the Bugatti cowlette from Taiga Hilliard. This luscious layer is knit in Milky Way, shown in Pewter.
