Yarn Spotlight: Oasis

I interviewed Sabrina about each yarn for these yarn spotlight posts and underneath Oasis it just says MAGICAL. And really, that about sums it up.

Walden Cowl by Wood House Knits.

Oasis is a 70% silk / 30% camel blend yarn that is really versatile. Depending on the pattern and your preferred fabric, Oasis is comfortable being anything from fingering to worsted, but we generally refer to it as a DK yarn.

Beurre by Hilary Smith Callis / The Yarniad.

This yarn is fabulous for cowls, hats, shawls, and garments. The weight is a little less uniform than some of our other yarns, which lends a beautiful, earthy texture to your project.

Ainsley by Wood House Knits.

The color of Oasis is also a little less uniform than our other yarns. Unlike other fiber-giving animals, the camel has not been bred for stability of fiber. The color of the camel down varies from season to season.

Enchanted Mesa by Stephen West.

The color of the base yarn can range from oatmeal to white. The cowl neck of Enchanted Mesa by Stephen West (shown above) is only one example of Oasis in Au Natural.

Picea by Andrea Rangel Knits.

A colorway on the Oasis base is generally more muted than the same colorway on an MCN base. It's not as muted as Breeze, though.

Glaucus Shawl by Benjamin Krudwig Designs.

If Santa was delivering just one yarn this year, my personal choice would definitely be Oasis! If you haven't tried it, I definitely recommend that you put it on your wish list. Visit our site to find a list of shops that carry our yarn, or see the shops on a map. If you don't have a shop in your area, see a list of online shops here. If the shop of your choice carries Anzula but does not carry Oasis, they can place a special order for you.
