Trunk Show: Yarns by the Sea

Our trunk shows in Arizona and Texas were great! Sabrina and Justin were able to meet so many stitchers, and they definitely came home with much less yarn than they left with.

While they were gone, Kelly, Alex, Carmel, and Monica were busy reskeining more yarn for the trunk show this Thursday at Yarns by the Sea in Aptos, CA!

Sabrina and Kelly will have suitcase upon suitcase of our yarn, and a cart-load of hand-dyed and natural spinning fiber. They'll also bring knits and patterns! You'll be able to shop for your Anzula fix from 3 - 8 p.m.

This will also be your first opportunity to get your hands on one of our new tote bags.

We're picking them up from American T's today! They were great to work with on this project. Jack and Dorie, the owners, actually brought us back to the workroom when we were placing our order so we could choose our ink colors. They even invited us to the shop when the printing started. Sabrina got the first bag, straight out of the dryer!

For those of you who ordered your bag through Indiegogo, we'll be shipping them out soon!

Come get your bag (and yarn!) in Aptos at Yarns by the Sea on Thursday!

Ainsley & Bridgitte from Wood House Knits

Every year I see a lot of advertisements for sophisticated holiday clothes, as though most December days are spent in sequins and heels. While there can be plenty of opportunities to dress up, there are plenty of moments for which something more casual is more appropriate. Jennifer Wood of Wood House Knits has designed a couple of sweaters that are both casual and elegantly special.

Ainsley was designed in Oasis, our camel and silk blend. It's a simple and polished tunic sweater worked from the top down, shown here in Kale.

The slight shaping is worked on the back of the sweater, and can be omitted for a straighter fit. The seed stitch at the cuffs and hems adds interest.

Brigitte is another cozy, easy-fitting sweater. You can choose a more neutral or subtle color for a more refined sweater, or grab something punchier for more fun!

This sweater was designed to be knit from the top down in Dreamy, a fingering-weight Superwash Merino, Cashmere, and Silk blend, shown here in Arizona.

Either of these sweaters is perfect for so many cold-weather occasions, from early morning soccer games to decorating the Christmas tree!

If the yarn you're looking for is not available at your LYS, you can place a special order through any store that carries Anzula.

December Southwest Yarn Tour - Arizona and Texas

Our collection of vintage suitcases will be put to good use this week! Sabrina and Justin packed up the truck today (Sunday) and set off on a week-long yarn tour of the Southwest. After a stop in Arizona, they'll be traveling throughout southern Texas.

We have some really fabulous shops that will be hosting trunk shows. We pack our stock up in our collection of vintage suitcases and if you're in the area, you can see more colorways and lines of our yarn and fiber than you can see almost anywhere other than our annual booth at Stitches West!
