On the Road Again

It is that time of year again. We are getting ready to get on the road to Columbus, OH for TNNA, our industy trade show. Along the way we are stopping in as many yarn shops as we can. So far we are planning for 14, and that is just on the way out. I can't believe we will be on the road in 65 hours.
We have seven new lines of yarn and three new colorways that we will be debuting at TNNA. Our lovely Kim Burly has been working away dyeing all of the colorway samples.
Two of our local shops have a few of our new lines already in stock. Knit Addiction has Dreamy (sw merino, cashmere & silk) and Milky Way (milk protein and sw merino). Swatches (rav link) has Inyo (baby alpaca), our very first 100% made in America line of yarn.
We are super proud of this line and its two sisters. The yarns are 100% alpaca of the highest quality, with a nice tight twist. The alpacas this fiber comes from live in the Mountain States, then are spun at a local mill.We are going for a yarn that has great stitch definition, feels soft, but doesn't pill when you look at it. Inyo, Echo & Kern fit that bill.
In other news, Lorna Miser has a pattern in this issue of Love of Knitting using our Cricket. I think it is an absolutely fabulous sweater and will be in our booth at TNNA. We are in booths 1652 & 1654. Hope to see you there! You can follow us on Twitter to keep up to date on our shenanigans.

Yarn Tasting

We have a bunch of new lines we will be debuting at TNNA in June, but before that, we are having a yarn tasting this weekend. A while back I visited one of our mills and sat down with the mill owner. Together we collaborated and designed new lines of yarn. We were really focusing on twist and I think we came up with some really cool stuff. Note: I have been putting off this post in the hopes of having my camera and cable together in the same spot long enough to upload pics. But alas, that has not come to fruition. For a while I knew exactly where my camera was, but the cable was MIA. Then miraculously, I found the cable only for the camera to disappear. I blame the zombies that live in our zombie room. But that is another story. Until then, you will just have to imagine the cute alpacas and the really cool mill.

So, this Saturday from 11 am through 3pm a few lucky knitters and crocheters get to come down to our new space and play with some of our new lines. We only have a few slots left, so let us know right away if you want to participate and I will get you more information. Happy Knitting!
