Grasshopper Hat by Breean Elyse

Designer Breean Elyse published a new hat pattern - the Grasshopper Hat - this month.

It is a slouchy garter stitch beanie worked up in Cricket, shown here in Olivia. The Grasshopper Hat takes just one skein of this merino/cashmere/nylon blend. A slouchy hat needs a soft, luscious yarn like this!

If her name rings a bell, you may remember the Inyo Cowl pattern she released last September. It was done in Inyo, one of our decadent alpaca yarns, but we have also made a couple around Anzula in For Better or Worsted.

Our Newest LYS is on Wheels: L.A.'s Yarnover Truck

Recently we had the opportunity to meet Meridee and Barbra, the ladies behind Yarnover Truck. If you haven't heard about this mobile LYS, we are excited to be the first to introduce you! Yarnover Truck will be opening in a few months in Los Angeles. It will be driving up at food and craft fairs, music festivals, and other events. It will also be available for private events and parties.

We are excited to be their first yarn order! Yarnover Truck is stocking Anzula in Breeze, Haiku, and Squishy in nine of our colorways. The ladies are also working with Sabrina on an exclusive color that will only be available on the truck!

Read more about them and how you can support Yarnover Truck on their indiegogo project page. The ladies are offering a lot of great perks. Make sure you click over soon because there's only a week left in the campaign!

It's Too Darn Hot

Hey Anzula fans,

It seems that Fresno's famous summer heat is upon us at last, and since we're not able to efficiently cool the warehouse, we're going to be closing down our knit nights until things get a bit cooler.

Please check out Knitter's Anonymous at The Knit Addiction--a big group of fiber fiends meet every Wednesday night from 6-8pm. The shop is very comfortable, even in the heat, and there's ice cream right across the street! Sabrina, Megan, and Charlie attend regularly.

Thanks to those of you who've come to knit with us this year, and we hope to see you again soon!
