Featured Project: Immie Tee in our Squishy

We are excited about starting up our Featured Project series again. How excited?

DefiKNITely this excited.

Erika, a.k.a. DefiKNITely, was gracious enough to share with us a couple of Immie tees she knit from our Squishy. The Christmas Immie was a gift she gave to her daughter on Christmas morning. I'm fairly certain Santa's elves aren't knitting with Squishy, so she's a very lucky girl!

For this project, Erika chose Au Natural to maximize the versatility of the piece within her daughter's wardrobe. We think it's adorable over her brightly colored dress!

Erika says that she chooses Squishy because of its softness and the subtle color variations in each skein. This Immie she knit in Dusty Rose showcases those variations.

Erika purchased her yarn at Purl Soho. You can visit our map to find the LYS near you that carries Anzula. If your LYS carries Anzula but not Squishy, they can place a special order for you.

Sebastian giveaway with Grace Akhrem

One of the most memorable knits I saw this year at TNNA was Grace Akhrem's new Hydra sweater. The dynamic vertical lines are vivacious and sexy, and Grace's choice of Seaside and Teal really accentuates the flattering elements of her design. The sweater was created in Anzula Sebastian, our Sea Cell and Superwash Merino fingering-weight yarn. The Sea Cell gives the yarn a lovely brightness, and it is durable in the wash.

Grace is no stranger to Anzula. Her Seaweed Scarf is one of Anzula's favorite patterns! It is knit in Anzula Cricket, but it could also be knit in Sebastian.

Grace is giving away some Sebastian and a copy of the Hydra pattern to a Facebook fan on Sunday, March 24. Check out her Facebook page and “like” it to enter.

Grasshopper Hat by Breean Elyse

Designer Breean Elyse published a new hat pattern - the Grasshopper Hat - this month.

It is a slouchy garter stitch beanie worked up in Cricket, shown here in Olivia. The Grasshopper Hat takes just one skein of this merino/cashmere/nylon blend. A slouchy hat needs a soft, luscious yarn like this!

If her name rings a bell, you may remember the Inyo Cowl pattern she released last September. It was done in Inyo, one of our decadent alpaca yarns, but we have also made a couple around Anzula in For Better or Worsted.
